Responsibilities

• Functions as part of an interdisciplinary team with positive interpersonal communication when interacting with patients and staff.
• Provides direct support to the nursing staff and follows directions to deliver quality patient care.
• Alerts the nursing staff to observe changes in a patient’s condition.
• Operates medical equipment safely, such as blood pressure machines and SCD machines.
• Collects and transports patient specimens for laboratory analysis as directed.
• Assists patients with basic hygiene, hair and oral care as required.
• Performs rounds every two hours to provide quality care and services.
• Attends professional development programs and continuing education requirements.
