Job summary

UCLA Health in Santa Monica is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager for the 4CW Intensive Care Unit. You will report to the Unit Director and lead clinical staff while aligning with departmental goals to deliver exceptional patient care in a state-of-the-art environment.

The role requires CA RN licensure, a BSN, ICU RN leadership experience, and strong communication and leadership skills. A MSN is highly desirable, with CCRN preferred and a track record of progressive leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Current, valid CA RN license required.
• BSN required; MSN highly desirable.
• 5 years ICU RN experience required.
• At least two years of charge RN or nurse leadership experience required.
• BLS from the ARC or AHA required.
• Nursing Professional Leadership and/or CCRN highly desirable.
• Progressive leadership positions highly preferred.
• Exceptional communication, coaching and conflict resolution skills.
• Advanced clinical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to perform historical, physical and behavioral patient assessments.

Responsibilities

• Model clinical best practices and facilitate collaborative decision making and shared governance.
• Establish clinical departmental goals and supervise clinical staff to meet organizational objectives.
• Collaborate with clinical educators to evaluate and develop core clinical competencies.
• Oversee stewardship of human, financial, and physical resources to ensure delivery of high-quality care.
• Share 24/7 management responsibility with the Unit Director.
