Job summary

WellStar Health System is seeking a RN Clinical Charge Nurse for the Paulding Hospital ICU, covering the Night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM. This role directs daily unit activities, leads an interdisciplinary team, and ensures safe, patient-centered care in a Magnet/Baldrige-recognized environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (AD/Diploma or BSN preferred).
• Current nursing license and certifications required upon hire.
• BLS required; ACLS certification preferred or provisional.
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience; relief charge experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee the unit's daily activities on the assigned shift to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Make patient assignments and manage bed flow with the care team.
• Round with physicians and assess care plans; collaborate on discharge planning.
• Lead interprofessional rounds and ensure compliance with governance and quality initiatives.
