Qualifications

• California RN license is required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification within three (3) months of hire/transfer.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification
• "A" required within three (3) months of hire/transfer.
• Stroke Education: eight (8) hours annually for those working at QVH.
• Must be available to work every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame.
• Coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served.
• Utilizes nursing skills to determine needs and develops, implements and revises the plan of care.
• Delivers care in a safe and efficient manner consistent with the unit's standard of care.
