Job Description for Senior Technology Systems Consultant at Syska Hennessy Group

Our Information and Communication Technology Group (ICT), based in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Senior Technology Systems Consultant with systems design experience, focusing on Telecom/IT/Audio Visual/Security trades.

This role involves supporting the engineering of systems for various projects, working closely with clients, architects, and engineers to create designs for spaces such as Critical Facilities, Corporate Interiors, Sports & Entertainment, Healthcare, Airports, and Educational facilities across the country. Experience in ICT for Aviation is preferred.

Job Responsibilities

• Support design efforts on a wide range of projects, collaborating with senior consultants to perform calculations and layout highly technical spaces.
• Develop trade-specific system designs using CAD/BIM, prepare calculations, and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Progress from basic to more complex projects, assisting in system layout, specifications, and narratives.
• Conduct field inspections, assist in technical reports, and establish system parameters under senior guidance.
• Participate in QA/QC processes, assist in project scheduling, manpower, and budgets.
• Perform construction administration, field investigations, and process RFIs, Change Orders, and Bulletins.
• Support multidisciplinary design efforts, maintain drawing standards, and coordinate with internal and external teams.
• Represent the company professionally to clients and consultants.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or Technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 7-10 years of audiovisual, telecom, IT, or security design experience across various markets.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of active network systems, structured cabling, Wi-Fi infrastructure, and telephony design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit preferred.
• Certifications such as P.E., ICT (PSP, CPP, CTS, CTS-D, RCDD, CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, PMP) are required.
