Job summary

HDR is hiring a Unity ICT/Security BIM Coordinator to support our Arizona projects in Phoenix. You will work with project engineers and designers to translate client needs into robust design documents and system specifications.

Responsibilities include developing SD/DD/CD packages, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and staying current with industry technologies. Strong 3D design software and coordination tool skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent education in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in related industry experience.
• Advanced skills in 3D design software.
• Proficiency with 3D coordination tools and model management.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes, and specs.

• Complete project tasks across telecommunication or electronic security system domains.
• Define, review, and meet customer needs within project design.
• Create complete construction documents (SD, DD, CD) for design intent.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to develop functional requirements and designs.
• Maintain knowledge of current industry products and emerging technologies.
• Assist in troubleshooting and provide field support as needed.

Responsibilities

• ICT/Security BIM Coordinator will complete a variety of project tasks, including but not limited to: general engineering knowledge of telecommunication (horizontal/backbone cabling and pathways) or electronic security systems (communications, electronic controls, CCTV, access control, UPS, etc.), and operational coordination with commercial hardware.
• Take direction from project engineers and designers to evaluate, define, and review customer needs/objectives and ensure those requirements are met within the project design.
• Define and develop complete project-related construction documents (SD, DD, CD) to show design intent, project specifications, and assist with system-related activities within all construction administration (CA) activities.
• Coordinate with integrated, multidisciplinary project teams to develop functional requirements, system designs, and other project-related requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of current industry product offerings and research new emerging technologies.
• Assist in problem resolution and technical troubleshooting when field support is needed.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or a combination of education and related industry experience
• A minimum of 5 years related industry experience
• Advanced skillset of 3D design software and document management infrastructure
• Advanced skillset of 3D coordination tool
• Competency in Microsoft Office products and communication tools
• Advanced understanding of engineering or architectural concepts
• Knowledge of industry standards and practices, along with discipline codes and specifications
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational traits
