Job summary

Stantec is seeking an ICT Designer for our Chandler, AZ office to support design and coordination of low voltage systems including fire alarm, security, telecommunications, audiovisual, and building management systems for science and technology facilities.

You will work with a multi-disciplinary team, use Revit and BIM for design, and engage in site surveys and review of submittals to help deliver world-class projects.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent in Engineering Technology.
• 5 years of experience may substitute for degree.
• Experience with Technology Systems (Telecom, Security, A/V) preferred for government, healthcare, higher education, science & technology.

Responsibilities

• Design telecom, security, and A/V docs under guidance from senior staff.
• Coordinate schematic design, design development, and construction documents emphasizing technology requirements.
• Project design using Revit and BIM modeling.
• Perform site condition surveys.
• Review contractor submittals.
• Support multiple design teams and meet deadlines.
• Produce quality work with innovative building design methods.

Your Opportunity

We have an immediate opening for an ICT Designer in Chandler, AZ office. This role will support design and coordination of low voltage systems—including fire alarm, security, telecommunications, audiovisual, and building management systems for world-class facilities in the semiconductor, biotech, pharmaceutical, and advanced technology sectors.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Technical day-to-day design of Telecommunications, Security and Audio Visual (A/V) construction documents with guidance from senior staff
• Coordinating and preparing schematic design, design development, and construction documents with emphasis on Technology requirements (Telecom, Security, A/V)
• Project design utilizing Revit and BIM modeling
• Performing site condition surveys
• Reviewing contractor submittals
• Routinely supporting multiple design teams (projects) and delivering results, managing your time and contributions effectively to meet varying deadlines
• Producing quality work using technology and methodologies that create innovative approaches to building design

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Fundamental understanding of inside-plant (ISP) and outside-plant (OSP) telecommunications design;
• Thoroughness in design coordination and contract document development;
• Must be able to work independently and as a member of a multi-office technology systems group;

Education and Experience

Associates degree or equivalent in Engineering Technology program, Electrical Engineering, or Telecommunications Engineering required. 5 years’ experience will be considered in lieu of degree;

At least 1 year of experience in the installation and maintenance or design and specification of Technology Systems (Telecom, Security, A/V) preferably supporting projects for clients in such building sectors as government, healthcare, higher education, science & technology.

Pay Transparency:

In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
