Job summary

Ehvert Mission Critical, a business unit within Salas O’Brien, seeks an experienced ICT Engineer on an independent contractor basis to design and coordinate data center ICT systems across the U.S. You will prepare technical documentation, perform calculations, and deliver BIM-based layouts, working with electrical, mechanical, and BIM teams through the full project lifecycle.

You will model low‑voltage systems, ensure design accuracy, and collaborate in a fast-paced, high‑tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, telecommunications, IT, or a related field.
• Proven expertise as ICT / telecommunications / low‑voltage systems engineer.
• English writing and speaking at least B1 level or higher.
• Experience in ICT design including structured cabling, telecom infrastructure, and security systems.
• Experience designing low‑voltage systems for industrial, commercial, or mission‑critical facilities.
• Experience using BIM modeling tools and design software.
• Hands‑on experience using Autodesk Revit.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering environments.
• Understanding of telecom standards and low‑voltage codes.
• MS Office proficiency; ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Designing and coordinating ICT and low‑voltage systems including structured cabling, telecommunications, access control, CCTV, and security systems.
• Using BIM tools to model and coordinate ICT systems with other engineering disciplines using Autodesk Revit.
• Developing understanding of project requirements related to scope, cost and schedule.
• Determining and expediting engineering deliverables for projects.
• Maintaining project scope of work documentation and revisions during design.
• Preparing engineering calculations, system layouts, and technical documentation for ICT infrastructure.
• Producing design criteria, specs, and equipment data sheets for project execution.
• Reviewing shop drawings and contractor submittals.
• Producing models/drawings using BIM and CAD; coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

This is an ongoing contractual engagement with a US-based company and is not limited to a single project . The role involves continuous collaboration across multiple mission-critical projects, based on business needs. You will provide services as an independent, self-employed professional under a formal independent contractor agreement .

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled ICT Engineer as an independent contract worker to support the design and coordination of cutting‑edge data center projects across the U.S. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and coordination of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems , including structured cabling, telecommunications infrastructure, security systems, access control, video surveillance, and other low‑voltage systems critical to data center operations.

You will prepare technical documentation, perform engineering calculations, develop system layouts, and ensure design accuracy using BIM and ICT engineering tools. The role involves close collaboration with electrical, mechanical, and BIM teams in a multidisciplinary environment, contributing to the full project lifecycle from schematic design through construction documentation and coordination.

Strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and coordinating ICT and low‑voltage systems including structured cabling, telecommunications, access control, video surveillance (CCTV), and security systems
• Using BIM tools to model and coordinate ICT systems with other engineering disciplines using tools such as Autodesk Revit – is a must
• Developing a thorough understanding and delivery of the project requirements as they relate to scope, cost and schedule
• Determining and expediting the engineering deliverables for projects
• Developing and maintaining project scope of work documentation and revisions during design development
• Preparing engineering calculations, system layouts, and technical documentation for ICT infrastructure
• Preparing technical documentation required for project execution including design criteria, technical specifications, and equipment data sheets
• Reviewing shop drawings and contractor submittals
• Producing models and drawings using BIM and CAD modeling tools
• Supporting coordination with multidisciplinary engineering teams during project development and execution
