Job summary

Engtal, a nationally recognized engineering consulting firm, seeks a Senior ICT Design Engineer in Dallas to design and coordinate telecommunications infrastructure for healthcare, data centers, and other mission-critical facilities nationwide.

You will lead ICT system design, prepare drawings with AutoCAD and Revit, and collaborate with MEP, architectural, and structural teams. Strong communication and industry-standard knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of ICT/telecom design experience in an engineering consulting env.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD; Revit experience preferred.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Design ICT systems including structured cabling, fiber optics, telecommunications rooms, backbone and horizontal cabling, and network pathways.
• Prepare design drawings, riser diagrams, specifications, and construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Coordinate designs with MEP, architectural, and structural teams.
• Perform site surveys, field investigations, and existing conditions assessments.
• Support construction administration including RFIs, submittals, field reports, and punch lists.
• Participate in client meetings and collaborate with owners, architects, contractors, and vendors.
• Ensure designs comply with TIA, BICSI, NEC, and applicable industry standards.

The Dallas Technology Consulting team is seeking a Senior ICT Design Engineer to design and coordinate telecommunications and ICT infrastructure for a variety of complex projects nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Design ICT systems including structured cabling, fiber optics, telecommunications rooms, backbone and horizontal cabling, and network pathways
• Prepare design drawings, riser diagrams, specifications, and construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit
• Coordinate designs with MEP, architectural, and structural teams
• Perform site surveys, field investigations, and existing conditions assessments
• Support construction administration including RFIs, submittals, field reports, and punch lists
• Participate in client meetings and collaborate with owners, architects, contractors, and vendors
• Ensure designs comply with TIA, BICSI, NEC, and applicable industry standards

• 5+ years of ICT, telecommunications, or low-voltage design experience within an engineering consulting environment
• Strong knowledge of structured cabling, fiber optic infrastructure, and telecommunications systems
• Proficiency with AutoCAD; Revit experience preferred
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Preferred: RCDD certification, CCNA, DCDC, OSP, or PE designation. Experience with healthcare, mission-critical, commercial, or higher education projects is a plus.
