Job summary

Engtal is seeking a Technology Designer/Engineer to design ICT and low-voltage systems for healthcare, education, transportation, commercial, and mission-critical projects. You will guide projects from site assessments through design, coordination, and construction administration.

Key duties include drafting, riser diagrams, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams while ensuring QA/QC and compliance with industry standards. AutoCAD and Revit expertise are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years ICT/telecommunications or low-voltage design experience.
  • Strong knowledge of structured cabling and fiber optics.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD; Revit experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and project-management skills.
  • RCDD, CCNA, DCDC, OSP or PE designation is a plus.
  • Healthcare, mission-critical, commercial, or higher education experience preferred.

  • Prepare drawings, riser diagrams, specifications, and construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit
  • Coordinate designs with architectural, electrical, mechanical, and structural teams
  • Perform site surveys and existing-conditions assessments
  • Participate in client meetings and coordinate with owners, contractors, and vendors
  • Support construction administration through RFIs, submittals, field reports, and punch lists
  • Perform QA/QC and ensure designs comply with TIA, BICSI, NEC, and applicable industry standards

Job description

An established engineering consultancy is seeking a Technology Designer/Engineer to design ICT and low-voltage systems for healthcare, education, transportation, commercial, and mission-critical projects.

Compensation and Benefits
  • $80,000-$120,000 salary, depending on experience
