ALS is seeking an ICP/OES-ICP/MS Analyst in Stratford, CT to perform analyses using manual and instrumental techniques following SOPs. You will analyze samples, interpret results, and perform peer review and quality control to meet tight turnaround times.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related science and 1–5 years of analytical lab experience; ICP-MS/ICP-AES/ICP-OES experience strongly preferred; strong communication, organization, and ability to work independently.

  • ICP-MS/ICP-AES/ICP-OES experience strongly preferred.
  • 1–5 years of analytical laboratory experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; good organizational ability.

  • Analyze samples using manual and complex instrumental techniques per SOPs.
  • Interpret, review and peer-review sample results.
  • Perform quality control and maintain records.
  • Record observations in bound and electronic notebooks.
  • Troubleshoot instrument malfunctions and maintain safe, clean work area.
