Job summary

Actalent in Lancaster, OH seeks a Lab Technician to perform chemistry and analytical testing on battery materials and wastewater. You will prepare samples, run ICP-OES or ICP-MS analyses, and report results accurately in a timely manner, supporting quality management of wastewater treatment.

The role emphasizes hands-on instrument operation, data integrity, and compliance with SOPs. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, with ICP experience strongly valued. This is a permanent, onsite opportunity.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on ICP-OES or ICP-MS instrumentation experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a scientific field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for analysis using appropriate preparation and digestion techniques.
• Conduct analytical testing on materials and wastewater per established methods and regulatory requirements.
• Complete reports and document test results accurately and timely.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Perform preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment to ensure reliable operation.
• Follow SOPs and testing methods consistently.
• Prepare chemical solutions and dilutions accurately.
• Validate and calibrate laboratory instruments to ensure accuracy of results.
