Job summary

TURN is seeking a Regular Full time position in Oceanside, CA to provide education, support, and interventions helping clients recover from mental health and substance use disorders. The role includes counseling, case management, advocacy, and outreach to clients and families.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, a valid CA driver’s license, and familiarity with Microsoft Office and EHR software. The work may involve weekend and holiday shifts and field-based services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Life experience in mental health or SUD recovery or family and willingness to disclose required.
• Valid CA driver’s license and current auto insurance per contract requirements required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and EHR software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide case consultation, crisis intervention, discharge placement, individual and group work, and case management for basic needs and symptom management.
• Complete accurate, timely documentation as contractually required for direct billable services.
• Provide peer counseling and support using consumer experience to build trust and empowerment with clients and families.
• Facilitate placement including pre-placement visits and transportation as needed.
• Provide field-based services as required by the program and client need.
• Maintain confidentiality of clients’ care.
• Participate in scheduled program meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Able to maintain a flexible work schedule, including occasional weekend and holiday shifts.

JOB SUMMARY

Provide education, support, and interventions assisting in clients’ recovery from mental health and substance use disorder from a personal and educational perspective. Provide group and individual counseling, case management, advocacy, and outreach to clients, and families as appropriate.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide peer counseling and support drawing on own consumer experience to build trust and commonality, mentor clients and families and promote empowerment. Interacts therapeutically with clients and families with boundaries of professional standard.

• Provide field-based services as required by the program and client need.
• Maintain confidentiality of client’s care.
• Participate in scheduled program meetings.
• Other relevant duties as assigned.
