Job summary

Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis is seeking a Business Analyst to support AS5/COSO/SOX activities and assess internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR). The role interacts with management across Bank divisions and requires on-site presence.

Two levels are posted (BA II and BA III). Qualifications include a BA with 3+ to 5+ years of analytical experience, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to communicate with multiple staff levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years analytical or PM experience in internal controls.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• Experience communicating and presenting recommendations to multiple levels of staff.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet Explorer.
• Certification desirable (e.g., CPA, CIA, or CISA).

Responsibilities

• Participate in projects and perform intermediate analytical tasks in support of Department, Bank, FRS and/or federal agency initiatives.
• Participate in project teams and work groups across the Bank and agencies.
• Complete special assignments, studies and analyses.
• Analyze business functions and improve processes.
• Test, train, and coordinate implementations with plans, risk assessments, and communications.
• Provide analytic support to department liaisons for resolving issues.
• Escalate complex questions to analysts or management.
• Assist in preparing communications, proposals, and presentations.
• Develop and revise procedures and deliver training to users and staff.
• Monitor compliance with policies and standards.
• Provide training to less experienced staff.
