Job summary

Legends & ASM Global is seeking a part-time Ice Technician to maintain and improve ice quality at the North Charleston Coliseum & PAC. The role involves operating a Zamboni and ice edger, monitoring mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, and leading the Ice Crew during events.

Candidates should have proven ice resurfacer experience, knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, carpentry, electrical work, and general building maintenance; a technical degree or vocational certificate is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience driving ice resurfacers and operating related equipment.
• Knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, carpentry, electrical, painting and general building maintenance.
• Technical degree or vocational certificate preferred.
• Previous experience in a similar facility environment and/or a technical degree in engineering or a vocational certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate Zamboni and ice edger; maintain ice quality and rink conditions.
• Lead Ice Crew and ensure safety and efficiency during events.
• Inspect assigned areas and assist with maintenance of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Ability to perform physical labor and endure cold temperatures.
• Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC systems and building maintenance functions.
• Ability to Operate Zamboni and Ice Edger.
• Lead the Ice Crew as team leader.
