Job summary

Mt. Lebanon Recreation Department is seeking an Ice Skating Group Lesson Helper to assist staff and teach Learn-to-Skate classes, helping develop a love of skating.

Responsibilities include assisting with lesson plans, fitting skates, supervising activities, and providing friendly customer service to skaters and parents; completion of Learn to Skate USA Certification within 60 days is required. Qualifications

• Experienced skaters; Learn to Skate USA Certification within 60 days.
• Ability to fit skates and prepare students for lessons.
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff in Learn-to-Skate classes using provided lesson plans.
• Aid in fitting skates and preparing students.
• Supervise class activities and daily operations.
• Ensure students are properly dressed and ready for classes.
• Provide friendly customer service to skaters and parents.
• Attend program meetings and trainings.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Perform all other work as assigned.
