Job summary

Baltimore County Revenue Authority is seeking a part-time ice facility maintenance technician to upkeep ice surfaces and related equipment. The role requires early morning shifts on weekdays, with occasional weekends, and a focus on safety and preventive maintenance.

Selected candidate will maintain the ice resurfacer and related machinery, document readings, and ensure a clean, safe facility while following established procedures and policies. Prior ice maintenance experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Knowledgeable about equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Gauging ice depth, flooding technique, wash water, andInitiating maintenance.
• Ice resurfacing and ice maintenance experience.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Experience in facility maintenance and operations preferred.
• Experience in Chiller equipment preferred.
• Must be available to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Maintains all equipment and the ice surface, and ensures facility safety for employees and patrons - MUST HAVE MECHANICALLY ABILITY

Hours - Weekday Mornings (as early as 4:00 AM) and occasional weekends. This is a Part Time position.

Duties and Responsibilities

Working Conditions

Work is performed in several settings including a standard office environment at a recreational facility. Work may be performed both indoors and outdoors, but most work will be done on the ice. Maintenance and cleaning equipment used include ice resurfacers, ice maintenance equipment, skate sharpeners, vacuums, mops, and any other equipment associated with use in a recreational facility.

Physical Requirements

This position can involve sitting, standing, walking, running, stooping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and ice skating. Must be able to operate heavy machinery.
