GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Rink Attendant
JOB TITLE: Rink Attendant
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt – Part Time
DEPARTMENT: CRE/Ice & Events
SUPERVISOR: Ice & Events Manager
SALARY: $12-$14 Per Hour
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
To provide excellent customer service to patrons. Applicant must have a sound work ethic and be diligent in facility upkeep practices.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Excellent customer service
- Execute birthday parties, skating laser tag, bumper cars, and mini golf activities.
- Money handling
- Provide information to patrons, concerning programs, pricing, and schedules.
- Custodial services, not limited to sweeping, mopping, glass cleaning, cleaning of restrooms and locker rooms.
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Concessions and food handling
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Customer service
- Custodial operations
- General office equipment
- English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
- Adapt to changing work conditions.
- Respond to requests and inquiries from the public.
- Understand and carry out oral and written directions.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Required:
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Must be 16 years of age at time of application.
Preferred:
Related experience in related facility.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to maintain effective audio-visual discrimination and perception needed for making observations, communicating with others, reading, and writing. The employee is also required to maintain physical condition necessary for operating assigned equipment, walking, standing, kneeling, repeated bending or sitting for prolonged periods of time and lifting to 30 pounds. Maintain mental capacity which allows the capability of making sound decisions demonstrating intellectual capabilities.
Working Environment:
Both indoor and outdoor environments, and cold working conditions. Irregular work hours, including nights and weekends.
