Full Job Description SUMMARY: The overall responsibility of an Ice Cream Scooper/Crew Leader is to create an experience that encourages customers to come back.

Responsibilities

1. Serve and satisfy customers
2. Prepare all Bruster’s products
3. General cleaning and maintenance
4. Report quality and quantity concerns to manager
5. Restock products/supplies as needed
6. Opening/Closing Procedures

Education and/or Experience: A food service background is helpful, but is not required.

Other Skills and Abilities: The position of Ice Cream Scooper requires friendliness and a high energy level. Scoopers should be team players, who are mature and very neat in appearance. This position has constant customer contact.

Employee must possess or develop both the manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to scoop and portion all of our retail and wholesale products, most times without the aid of measuring devices, due to the volume of sales we may encounter.

Employee must be able to maneuver in a tight and sometimes congested working environment, both quickly and without creating a hazard.

Position requires occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 lbs. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to chemicals used in cleaning. Employee may also be exposed to extreme cold occasionally when entering the walk-in freezer (as allowed by law). The employee also frequently comes into contact with hot water while cleaning and sanitizing tools and containers, and the extreme heat of the waffle iron while baking waffle cones. The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
