Dairy Fresh Farms Inc. in Port Orchard, WA is seeking a Local Ice Cream Route Sales Representative to join our team. This full-time position runs Monday through Friday, home every night, with no weekends.

You will deliver to grocery stores and local convenience stores, maintain route schedules, handle cash receipts, and ensure top-notch customer service. DOT regulated, non-CDL but require medical certificate.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Delivery Driver or Truck Driver experience preferred.
• 1 year sales experience preferred.
• Clean driving record required.
• DOT regulated position.
• Ability to obtain a Medical Certificate.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to drive a box truck.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Prepares truck for operation by inspecting general condition and fluids.
• Occasionally loads trucks for the daily route.
• Delivers items according to route; operates truck and unloads goods.
• Serves customers by addressing complaints and adjusting orders.
• Obtains payment by accepting cash or checks.
• Maintains safety and cleanliness per policies; adheres to driving rules.
• Maintains delivery and driver records with receipts and logs.

Dairy Fresh Farms is a family-owned company with over 50 years of operations throughout Western Washington and Oregon. We specialize in milk and ice cream delivery to grocery stores and local convenience stores . We are immediately hiring for an Ice Cream Route Sales Representative to join our team in our Port Orchard, WA depot. This is a Non CDL position, but it is a DOT regulated position.

• Hourly training Pay range is $23.00 to $25.00 per hour, with Commission and Base pay after approximately 1 month. Medical, Dental, and Vision available after short waiting period from start date. 401K with 25% employer matching is available after 1 year. 40 hours of vacation will be paid after 1 year of employment.

Requirements (Preferred):

• 1 year of experience as a Delivery Driver or Truck Driver preferred


• 1 year sales experience preferred

• Ability to drive a new model box truck

Responsibilities:

• Prepares truck for operation by inspecting general condition; checking fluid levels and tire pressure; obtaining or scheduling required repairs.


• Occasionally loads trucks by ordering, placing, securing items, and verifying items are loaded on the vehicle for the daily route.


• Delivers items by identifying destinations; follow established route and assist with establishing/updating route; operating the truck; unloading items; maintaining schedule.


• Serves customers by understanding and resolving or forwarding complaints; adjusting orders.


• Obtains payment by accepting cash, checks.


• Maintains safe operation and clean appearance by complying with organization operational policies, procedures, and standards, as well as state and local driving rules and regulations; cleans truck interior.


• Maintains delivery, truck, and driving records by obtaining receipt acknowledgements; recording tracking information; completing driver log and truck performance forms.
