Job description

Production Worker Location: Waterbury, VT

PM Shift Hours: 7:00 pm - 7:30 am
Shift Pattern: 2/2/3

Pay Rate – $22.77 per hour, with an additional $0.75 shift adjustment and $3.25 shift differential for the 12hr PM shift assignments | Weekly Pay Periods

Our Vermont Manufacturing team is currently looking for Production Workers to support our Waterbury factory in performing various functions in the ice cream production process to ensure safe operation of the machinery, with a focus on producing quality product.

Who You Are & What You’ll Do

  1. Perform the various ice cream production processes.
  2. Equipment setup and flavor changeovers.
  3. Operate as a business unit and understand quality, cost, downtime, safety, and efficiency.
  4. Perform preventative maintenance and CIP as part of the standard process.
  5. Use the automated computer systems to manage the quality, efficiency, and downtime in the process.
  6. Troubleshoot and fix equipment and quality related process problems.
  7. Maintain a clean and sanitized process area.
  8. Lead projects and document results.
  9. Participate fully on the team: listen, communicate, teach, share knowledge, give feedback, support other team members and be willing to work until the job is done.
  10. Consistently demonstrate safe work behaviors and actively support company safety goals.
  11. Manufacturing environment, individual will be expected to work on the manufacturing floor and be exposed to mechanical operations and cleaning and caustic solutions.
  12. Other duties as assigned.

In addition, there will be exposure to allergens such as dairy, eggs, tree nuts, coconut, peanuts, wheat (gluten), soybean, and cinnamon.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  1. Knowledge to properly utilize PPE such as ear protection, safety glasses, hard hats, boots, gloves, face shields, and uniforms.
  2. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
  3. Able to read and understand product specifications.
  4. Ability to complete job related documentation.
  5. Basic computer skills.
  6. Ability to work with and around industrial strength cleaning chemicals to perform COP related tasks.
  7. Ability to understand general machine operations including LOTO, basic troubleshooting skills, and light lubrication.
  8. Ability to create, write, and deliver training related to specific positions.
  9. Ability to perform CIP related tasks as needed per position.
