Job summary

Salt & Straw is seeking a Production Team Member for our Central Kitchen of Oregon in Portland. This entry-level role on the Spin team helps produce and package premium ice cream, operating the production line and moving goods through the manufacturing process to keep production on track.

You’ll handle tubs, pints, and 8-pack cases, monitor weight and fill levels, follow food safety and sanitation protocols, and support senior teammates to reach daily goals in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial food production or manufacturing settings.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and follow safety rules.
• Comfort with working in refrigerated/freezer environments and around allergens.

Responsibilities

• Operate the production line and support production flow (filling tubs, packaging pints, assembling 8-pack cases).
• Package finished goods accurately (tubs, pints, 8-pack cases) and move products through the facility.
• Monitor quality through weight checks and visual inspections and follow packaging checks.
• Support senior team members to meet daily production goals and uphold safety standards.
