Job summary

The City of Jefferson is seeking an Ice Arena Assistant Manager at Washington Park Ice Arena. This role focuses on staff supervision, facility upkeep, and ensuring high-quality ice conditions in a customer-friendly environment.

Ideal candidates are 18+ (20+ preferred), with CPR/First Aid certification and prior supervision experience. 20–35 hours weekly, evenings and weekends required. Starting pay is $17.00 per hour.

The City of Jefferson is now accepting applications for Ice Arena Assistant Managers for our Parks and Recreation Department at theWashington Park Ice Arena.

• Employee supervision and motivation;
• facility cleanliness and safety;
• maintaining quality ice conditions;
• public relations;
• supervision of participants and enforcement of rules and regulations;
• attend to all daily tasks necessary for the efficient and effective operation of the Ice Arena as assigned;
• accurate record keeping;
• accurately dealing with large sums of money;
• reading and recording compressor data;
• manager or assistant manager will be on duty at all times.

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, 20 years of age preffered.
• Requires CPR and first aid certification.
• Experience in employee supervision is preferred.

This position works an average of 20-35 hours a week. The ideal candidate must be available to work evenings and weekends. Days and hours of the week vary due to the needs of the community and department.

The starting payis $17.00 per hour.
