SOCOTEC is a provider of niche consulting services within AEC industries, focusing on high-performing buildings and specialty structures. This Special Inspector role in Las Vegas requires at least 2 years of inspection experience, ICC certifications, and a strong command of construction documentation.

You will ensure compliance with codes, review drawings, and report findings daily in a dynamic project environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience performing special inspections, construction inspection, or related QA/QC work.
• Thorough knowledge of reinforced concrete and structural masonry construction practices and inspection requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and applicable building codes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate project documentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Responsabilités

• Perform special inspections of reinforced concrete and structural masonry construction in accordance with project specifications and applicable building codes.
• Verify compliance with approved plans, shop drawings, and special inspection requirements.
• Inspect reinforcing steel placement, concrete placement activities, masonry construction, grout placement, and related structural elements.
• Document inspection observations and prepare accurate daily reports and project documentation.
• Maintain complete and organized project files, including reports, field notes, correspondence, RFIs, and supporting records.
• Communicate inspection findings and project updates to project managers, contractors, engineers, and client representatives.
• Identify and document non-conforming work and verify corrective actions when required.
• Review structural drawings, specifications, and code requirements prior to and during inspections.
• Perform inspections in accordance with company quality standards and safety procedures.
