Job description

The half-time lab assistant will provide students with assistance to the fulltime
faculty
and students in the use of lab training equipment. The lab assistant will work
independently from faculty to provide students with troubleshooting support as the
students complete their lab assignments.

Program location is currently at the Keokuk campus but assignment may be at all SCC
locations, including off-campus sites.

This position is a half-time Professional Services position (1040 work hours per year).
Starting salary for the position is $33,000 annually. Pro-rated benefits include medical,
dental & vision insurance, $50,000 life insurance, long-term disability, paid sick leave,
paid spring and holiday breaks, 15 days vacation and participation in IPERS or TIAACREF
retirement plan.

The term of employment is as per the employment contract, and relevant policies of the
Board of Trustees and sec.
