Job description

An Instrumentation Controls Technician designs and troubleshoots machine controls using PLCs, PCs, HMIs, motor drives, and other instrumentation/controls.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop control, data collection, and signal processing systems
  2. Troubleshoot existing PLCs, HMIs, motor drives, electronic circuits, electro-mechanical systems, PID controllers, and electronic sensors of all types
  3. Ensure satisfactory operation of new equipment; prepare operating and training manuals
  4. Train maintenance staff to service critical electronic components
  5. Monitor and adjust equipment as necessary to validate products
Qualifications
  1. Minimum 5 years in electrical and electronics field
  2. Strong process control background, including temperature & pressure controls, strain gauges/load cells, signal conditioners, lasers
  3. Excellent written and oral communication skills
  4. Proficiency in PLC programming, control panel layout, and construction
  5. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  6. Flexible and open-minded to assist and perform any task as required by management
