EXL Risk Control is a leading provider of risk assessments and loss control surveys to commercial lines insurance carriers. We are seeking candidates who possess 10+ years of experience with a major insurance carrier and/or national broker in commercial Property & Casualty Risk Control, along with excellent communication skills, computer proficiency, and a commitment to meeting client quality and timeliness standards.

Preferred candidates will have knowledge or experience in commercial insurance, inspections, or fire and safety assessments. Responsibilities include scheduling on-site surveys, providing risk evaluation and improvement reports to insurance clients, and managing assignments to ensure timely completion. Reports will contain underwriting information and recommendations for controlling potential loss conditions.

Additional duties may involve working on special projects or conducting complex risk evaluations, utilizing your education, certifications, and risk control skills. The insured businesses vary from Middle Market to large multi-location operations.

Consultants will work remotely or from an office, traveling locally to assess various commercial properties such as retail, restaurants, hotels, apartments, construction sites, manufacturing facilities, churches, and schools. The role covers multiple insurance lines including Property, General Liability, Workers Compensation, Auto/Fleet, Products Liability, Inland Marine, and Builders Risk.

Tools or Items You Must Provide:

• Windows-based PC with an image/document scanner
• High-speed internet access
• Measuring device such as a laser, 100 ft. tape, or measuring wheel
• Reliable vehicle
• Auto and General Liability Insurance

Preferred Experience:

• 10+ years of Risk Control Consulting
• Experience with major carriers or national brokerages
• BS Degree in Engineering, Safety, or Physical Sciences (preferred)
• CSP or ARM designations (preferred but not required)
• Experience in Commercial Lines Property/Casualty Loss Control, Underwriting, or Claims Adjusting
• Experience conducting insurance inspections and fire/life safety investigations
