Job summary

Neshent Technologies in Glastonbury, CT seeks an experienced IBM Power Systems & AIX Administrator to manage enterprise IBM Power infrastructure and AIX environments. The role covers Power7–Power10 platforms, VIOS, HMC, LPARs, and related virtualization, storage, and upgrades.

Candidates will provision, install, configure, patch, and maintain systems; perform firmware updates, TL/SP migrations, and HMC/DLPAR operations while maintaining documentation and responding to incidents.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience administering IBM Power Systems and AIX environments.
• Hands-on experience with Power7, Power8, Power9, and/or Power10 systems.
• Strong experience with AIX 7.x administration, patching, upgrades, and migrations.
• Hands-on experience with VIOS, HMC, LPAR, and DLPAR administration.
• Experience with NIM/NIMADM and AIX OS migration activities.
• Strong knowledge of Virtual SCSI, NPIV, SEA, and virtual networking.
• Experience with enterprise SAN, storage virtualization, and connectivity.
• Experience performing firmware, microcode, HMC, and VIOS upgrades.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in IBM Power environments.
