Overview

Configure, customize, and maintain IBM DOORS and DOORS Next Generation environments. Develop and manage DOORS modules, views, attributes, and linkages. Create and maintain DXL scripts for automation, reporting, and data manipulation. Integrate DOORS with other tools (e.g., RQM, RTC, JIRA, Enterprise Architect). Perform data migration and synchronization between legacy systems and DOORS/DNG. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to DOORS infrastructure and usage.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements.
• Define and implement requirements management processes and best practices.
• Conduct workshops and training sessions for business users and engineering teams.
• Ensure traceability and compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, CMMI, ASPICE).
• Support audits and reviews by providing traceability matrices and compliance reports.
• Act as a liaison between engineering, quality assurance, and project management teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience with IBM DOORS and DOORS Next Generation.
• Proficiency in DXL scripting and DOORS customization.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering and requirements lifecycle.
• Experience with regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 26262, DO-178C).
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid development methodologies.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with IBM Jazz platform and Rational suite (RQM, RTC).
• Knowledge of MBSE tools like Cameo, MagicDraw, or Enterprise Architect.
• Exposure to domains such as automotive, aerospace, defense, or medical devices.
• Certifications in IBM Rational DOORS or Systems Engineering (e.g., INCOSE CSEP).
