Job summary

Sonsoft, Inc. is seeking an API-focused software professional in the United States with strong IBM API Connect and DataPower experience to design and develop RESTful APIs. The role emphasizes security standards such as OAuth, SSL, CORS and JWT, and requires proficiency in Java/Spring or Node.js.

Knowledge of SOA vs API design and incident management is preferred. The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent and have 4+ years in IT, with eligibility to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent; three years of progressive experience may substitute for each missing year.
• At least 4 years of IT experience.
• Experience with IBM API Connect (1+ year) and IBM DataPower (2+ years).
• Strong RESTful API development and web security standards knowledge.

Must Have Technical Skills

• At least 1 year of experience with IBM API Connect (formerly IBM API Management)
• At least 2 years of experience with IBM DataPower
• Extensive experience designing and developing RESTful APIs
• Broad knowledge of web security standards relating to APIs (OAuth, SSL, CORS, JWT, etc.)
• Extensive coding experience with either Java/Spring or Node.js
• Understanding of differences between SOA and API design.
• Knowledge of Change & Incident Management process (CMRs, etc.)

Nice to Have Technical Skills:-

• Experience in Node.js
• Experience in developing and enhancing portals
• Should be self-starting, requires little oversight and handles complex tasks
• Design and develop REST based APIs leveraging Java platform
• Experience working in a scrum team and in onsite/offshore model.
• Experience working in agile programs.
• Exposure to DevOps.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications :-

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of experience within the Information Technologies.
