Job description

Job Summary (IBM DataStage Developer):

• Over 8 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise data integration solutions using IBM DataStage.
• Skilled in understanding business requirements and mapping documents, translating them into scalable end-to-end ETL applications.
• Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and a proven track record of delivering high-quality data solutions.
• Extensive experience developing DataStage jobs to extract, transform, validate, and load data from various sources (Oracle databases, flat files, CSV, text, Excel, and external systems).
• Proficient in writing complex SQL queries for data extraction, validation, reconciliation, and performance optimization.
• Experienced in building JSON files using DataStage Hierarchical Stages and implementing robust data quality checks (structural, data type, and business rule validations).
• Strong production support background, including troubleshooting ETL failures, addressing L1/L2 escalations, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing preventive measures for system stability.
• Hands-on experience with Unix shell scripting and job scheduling (ControlM), as well as tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA/ADO, and Confluence for automation, monitoring, incident management, and documentation.
• Adept at collaborating with SMEs, Business Analysts, Architects, and Development teams to deliver reliable, compliant, and efficient data integration solutions.
• Committed to driving operational excellence through automation and continuous improvement.
• Mandatory skills include Data Architecture, ETL Concepts, and IIS-DataStage.
