Job summary

A technology consulting company in Peoria, Illinois is seeking an experienced ETL Developer with strong expertise in DW/BI and IBM Datastage. The ideal candidate will possess at least 4 years of experience in development and project life cycles. This full-time position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, along with a deep understanding of ETL processes and the ability to work well within a team. Job Description

• At least 4 years of experience with DW/BI and related tools, understanding of ETL and ELT concepts
• At least 3 years of hands on experience in Design, Development & Build activities in IBM Datastage(v8.5 and above) ETL Projects and other tools on Information Server stack like QualityStage, Information Ananlyzer, Information Services Director
• At least 3 years of experience in Project life cycle activities on DW/BI development and maintenance projects
• At least 2 years of experience in using TeraData and source and/or target for data loads.
• Knowledge of IBM Datastage Architecture, Stages/Transformations, Design, ETL flow, advanced SQLs
• Knowledge Best Practices in Datastage, Performance improvements, implementing CDC, UDFs
• Understanding of Unix/Linux system, file systems, shell scripting
• Good knowledge on MF file structures along with RDBMS incl. Oracle and Teradata.
• Experience in using DataStage for extracting data from and loading data to Hadoop Cluster.
• Experience in Strategizing, planning and implementing Major and point upgrades for DataStage
• Experience in DataStage grid deployment and configuration.
• Provides expertise in determining the strategic technical direction and system architecture for initiatives.
• Hands-on development mentality, with a willingness to troubleshoot and solve complex problems.
• Strong analytical skills
• Experience in Manufacturing domain

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of work experience in Information Technology.
