Job description

A company is looking for a 785-AS/400 System Administrator-Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and manage IBM AS/400 systems, including configuration, performance monitoring, and backup/recovery processes
• Conduct system upgrades, maintenance, and database administration while ensuring integration with modern platforms
• Develop, code, test, and implement programs for the AS/400, as well as create system documentation

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• Completion of at least one IBM i (AS/400) training course
• Minimum of three years' experience in server, system, and security administration of IBM AS/400 platforms
• Experience with Mapping Suites software and Power 8 to EMC Dell VNX storage connectivity
• Ability to substitute additional qualifying experience for required education on a year-for-year basis
