Job summary

Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a patient and driven server for the Ibis Sky Lounge. You will greet guests, take and serve orders, and maintain station setup in a fast-paced, upscale environment.

Responsibilities include suggestive selling, coordinating with the culinary team on dietary needs, handling transactions in MICROS, and upholding Omni's hospitality standards. Weekend and holiday availability required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year serving experience.
• Must acquire TIPS and ServSafe certifications.
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer with experience selling and presenting wines.
• Previous cash handling experience required.
• Excellent English communication with guests and coworkers.
• Ability to input data into MICROS accurately.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays.

JOB PURPOSE:

Soar above Fort Lauderdale at Ibis Sky Lounge—an adults-only, indoor-outdoor rooftop retreat offering sweeping views of the Intracoastal Waterway and coastline. With polished service, globally inspired small plates, handcrafted cocktails, and a curated wine selection, Ibis provides an elevated dining and social experience. • Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays

Environment & Position Analysis

• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Position requires frequent bending, reaching overhead, twisting, and consistent use of hands and arms
• Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift in indoor/outdoor environments
