Job summary

Stanford University School of Medicine’s Division of Medical Psychiatry seeks a psychiatrist with interest in primary care mental health integration to join the Integrated Behavioral Health program as a psychiatric consultant. The role collaborates with LCSWs, PCPs and clinicians to provide mental health care in primary care settings and to support diagnosing, treatment choices, and educational needs.

Qualifications

• MD/DO board-certified in Psychiatry; ABPN eligible or certified.
• Experience or strong interest in integrated behavioral health within primary care.
• Ability to collaborate with social workers, PCPs, and other clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide weekly caseload consultation to IBH LCSWs and PCPs.
• Liaise with PCPs to recommend treatment adjustments within 24 hours.
• Develop and deliver in-service training for primary care providers and staff.
• Co‑visit or solo patient evaluations as required.
• Participate in direct patient evaluation and spearhead referral pathways.
