SEK Global Campus is looking to hire an IBDP Chemistry Teacher for September.

Functions:
The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Provide synchronous instruction and asynchronous student facilitation support.
- Work closely with and support a broad variety of international students.
- Foster inquiry-based learning, encouraging students to ask questions, analyze data, and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Support students in completing internal assessments (IAs) and preparing for IB external examinations.
- Develop and administer assessments that align with IB standards.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback on assignments, assessments, and projects to support student progress.
- Assist students in developing effective study and research skills.
- Mentor and guide students in their academic, physical, socio-emotional, and ethical development.
- Create a supportive online classroom environment where students feel respected, valued, and motivated to learn.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share updates on student progress.
- Participate in virtual staff meetings, professional learning communities, and ongoing IB training workshops.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and enhance the Chemistry curriculum.
- Stay current with IB curriculum updates and online teaching best practices.
- Provide sufficient and timely feedback on student work.
- Work with and collaborate with Tutor Teachers and IB Diploma Progamme Coordinator.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- Utilize digital tools such as ManageBac, Microsoft Teams, Kognity, and virtual platforms to enhance learning.
- Leverage technology to create interactive lessons, and simulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, or a related field.
- Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years of experience teaching IB DP Chemistry (preferably online).
- Proficiency in online teaching tools and platforms
- Fluency in English (C1)
- Digital tools such as ManageBac, Microsoft Teams, Kognity, and virtual platforms to enhance learning.
