Job summary

The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine is recruiting for 1 full-time Ladder Rank/In Residence Professor in Gastroenterology. The role will establish an extramurally funded research program in cell therapies for IBD and provide gastroenterology consultation and endoscopy at Sacramento ambulatory sites.

Qualifications

• M.D., M.D./Ph.D., D.O. or equivalent degree
• Teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level
• The clinical skills and interest in IBD
• Extramural funding in research related to IBD

Responsibilities

• Provide gastroenterology consultation and endoscopy services focused on patients with IBD
• Educational responsibilities will include supervision of consultations and procedures by fellows, residents, and medical students as well as providing lectures to various audiences
• Establish and maintain an extramurally funded research program in cell therapies for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
• Share on-call duties at UC Davis Medical Center
