Job summary

UPMC is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist with an interest in IBD to join our outpatient-focused Digestive Disorders program. The role emphasizes building long-term relationships and delivering high-quality IBD care.

The position offers collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, management of Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, and flexibility to align the role with clinical interests. Inpatient duties are minimal.

Qualifications

• MD or DO credential required.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
• IBD experience or strong clinical interest preferred.
• Patient-centered approach with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Primarily outpatient practice focusing on IBD care.
• Manage Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis with biologic therapies.
• Access to a multidisciplinary support team (surgery, nutrition, radiology, infusion).
• Minimal inpatient responsibilities with hospital support.
