Northrop Grumman seeks IBCS [Integrated Battle Command System] Air Defense Instructors for our IBCS program.

IBCS connects sensors and effectors to work together into one command and control system. IBCS gives the warfighters expanded battlespace views, aiding quickly and decisive decisions. IBCS integrate across all domains, delivering advanced warfighter capabilities.

Successful applicant will be trained to serve as a subject matter expert on IBCS, conduct formal training to military or defense clients, and support the development and evaluation of military training and doctrine. Provide instruction in a classroom environment to the end user as well as field services in support of troubleshooting IBCS SW and HW. Provide technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement of program technical products, software (SW), and hardware (HW) systems. Offer expertise for resolving technical problems and troubleshooting products. Primary work location will be Huntsville, AL, with ability to travel to EUCOM, INDOPACOM, and CONUS.

Duties And Responsibilities

  1. Deliver IBCS military training, on site, to the end-user (US Army Soldiers)
  2. Support training material developers and writers with review and validation / verification of training materials
  3. Participate in doctrinal development, embedded training scenario development, practical exercise development, test question development, and after-action review and analysis
  4. Assist with training event metrics such as student enrollment, student demographics, student attendance, student pass/fail percentages, suggested improvements to the course materials and training aids, etc.
  5. Assist in planning, preparing, and execution of IBCS military training
  6. Provide feedback to program leadership regarding system performance and end-user comments
  7. Assist in troubleshooting IBCS HW and SW, including networks; ability to perform operator and maintainer level tasks on the system
  8. Perform R&R (Remove and Replace) of LRUs (Line Replaceable Units) in the field.
  9. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical systems

Basic Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree with 3 years’ experience or a High School diploma / Equivalent with 7 years' experience in Air Defense, Military instruction, Software, Hardware, IT, Networking.
  2. Secret Security Clearance and Passport with 2 yrs remaining. A valid passport is required within 6 months of hiring.
  3. Must be located in or willing to relocate to Huntsville, Alabama and travel approximately 75% to EUCOM, INDOPACOM, and CONUS.
  4. Experience with Air Defense, C-RAM, C-UAS, IBCS architectures or similar systems.
  5. Complete Northrop Grumman IBCS entry training requirements as an associate instructor within the first 6 months.
  6. Meet and maintain Department of Defense contractor deployment requirements for employment in any environment the US Military is or could be in, per DODI 3020.41.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Army Air Defense MOS 14 series or similar Military experience.
  2. Experience on Patriot, FAAD C2, or similar systems.
  3. Experience serving in ADAM Cell, AMDPCS FAAD Shelter, or Battery Command Post.
  4. Military Instructor Qualified (Branch Qualified).
  5. Knowledge of Army ADA systems such as PATRIOT, THAAD, SENTINEL, LTAMDS.
  6. Experience with embedded training systems, Signal/IT, deployment support, and operating IBCS equipment.
  7. Ability to obtain or hold certifications like CompTIA Security + and Linux +.
  8. System administration experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and CI/CD environments.
  9. Experience integrating COTS, GOTS, and custom software in secure environments.
  10. Knowledge of military operations, procedures, and training activities.

Salary Range: $64,100.00 - $96,100.00

The above salary range is a general guideline; actual offers depend on various factors including experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plan, holidays, and PTO.
