Job summary

Advocate Health’s Perinatal Services is seeking a part‑time Lactation Consultant to provide expert lactation management, education, and program development at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Illinois.

Responsibilities include developing care plans, liaising with providers and families, and advancing lactation education across the site. Requires Associate’s degree and IBCLC certification within two years if not already certified, with lifting up to 35 pounds and flexible hospital hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide lactation management as a consultant for difficult cases and develop lactation care plans.
• Serve as liaison between community and hospital to educate and support breast‑feeding groups and individuals.
• Educate mothers and families on lactation management and implement annual lactation education programs.
• Participate in program development, policy creation, and quality/safety initiatives related to lactation.
