Job summary

La Scuola International School in San Francisco and Silicon Valley seeks an experienced Elementary K-8 Teacher to join a Reggio Emilia inspired, IB-PYP and Italian language immersion program. The role involves designing inquiry-based curricula, collaborating with a diverse team, and engaging families in a dynamic school culture.

The ideal candidate will be bilingual Italian-English, with strong classroom management and a commitment to inclusive, project-based learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education (or equivalent) and/or California Teaching Credential.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching in K-8 grade level or 5+ years working with children.
• Bilingual and bi-literate in Italian and English with native or near-native Italian proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Designing, planning & implementing curriculum goals and long-term IB-PYP projects.
• Setting educational and developmental goals for children, individually and as a group.
• Preparing the environment to support educational objectives and goals.
• Establishing and maintaining contact with each parent and family; communicating with parents.
