Qualifications

• Experience leading IATF16949 or ISO 9001 quality systems in automotive/manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret dimensional requirements.
• Strong root cause analysis skills using 8D, 5 Why, and fishbone methods.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949 internal audits and customer/certification audits.
• Knowledge of core quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).

Responsibilities

• Lead internal audits and coordinate external certification and customer audits.
• Investigate customer complaints and production nonconformances with root cause analysis.
• Write and maintain control plans, PFMEAs, and inspection standards.
• Track quality metrics (PPM, scrap, first pass yield) and report trends.
• Support corrective and preventive action processes and verify effectiveness.
• Train staff on quality procedures and standards.
• Collaborate with suppliers on incoming quality issues and corrective actions.

Salary Range: $78,000 – $112,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Usual Responsibilities

Recommended Qualifications

• Experience leading internal audits and supporting customer or certification audits.
• Root cause analysis skills using 8D, 5 Why, and fishbone methods.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret dimensional requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross functional work.
• Experience with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 quality systems in automotive manufacturing.
• Knowledge of core quality tools including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC.

Bonus Qualifications

• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Familiarity with customer specific requirements from automotive OEMs.
• Experience with Minitab or similar statistical analysis software.
• Certified IATF 16949 internal auditor.
• Experience with CMM or other measurement equipment programming.
