During the mandatory in-person residency in Washington, D.C. from June 1–12, fellows will attend trainings on AI systems and policy challenges and participate in activities such as policy briefings, roundtable discussions, and networking events. After the residency, fellows will complete the remaining part of the program remotely from anywhere in the world. All fellows receive a support budget that can be used for conferences, seminars, and meetings with their assigned expert or coordinator. Fellows who choose to remain based in Washington, D.C. throughout the program will have access to office space and regular in-person events.
This international fellowship program in the USA is designed to support a smooth transition into an AI policy career. The program equips participants with essential skills and knowledge needed to succeed in AI policy roles. Fellows receive weekly one-on-one guidance from a fellowship coordinator focused on project management, productivity, and career development. Participants also receive expert feedback through weekly work-in-progress sessions and gain access to a strong professional network. In select cases, additional financial assistance may be provided to support career transitions after the fellowship.
