KBR Careers is seeking an IAMD Analyst in Arlington, VA (on-site) to support AF/A10 and national security initiatives. The role emphasizes evaluating IAMD policies, producing decision-support materials, and coordinating with multiple defense organizations.

The candidate will track staff packages and contribute to briefings and papers that inform senior leadership decisions on defense systems and basing considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations research, international security, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in IAMD, missile defense, air defense, or related operational/analytic work in a HQ/MAJCOM or joint environment.
• Strong analytic and writing skills; experience producing decision-support products on complex topics.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to maintain it throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare point papers, white papers, decision memos, and briefings that explain IAMD options, risks, and tradeoffs for senior leaders.
• Coordinate with AF/A3, MAJCOMs, Joint organizations, and external stakeholders, supporting AF participation in IAMD meetings, exercises, and wargames.
• Track and manage IAMD staff packages, ensuring AF/A10 inputs are timely, consistent, and well supported.

AF/A10 Strategic Plans and Policy Support Services conducts indefinite guidance, oversight, and advocacy of the Air Force strategic deterrence mission, in order to ensure Airmen have the necessary capabilities to protect the United States. In support of seeks an analyst to assess how treaty requirements affect basing, alert postures, exercises, and day‑to‑day operations.

The IAMD Technical Analyst reviews and analyzes IAMD‑related policies, concepts, studies, and meeting outputs to identify implications for AF/A10 equities. The analyst will be responsible to prepare point papers, white papers, decision memos, and briefings that explain IAMD options, risks, and tradeoffs for senior leaders. The analyst will also be responsible for the coordination with AF/A3, MAJCOMs, Joint organizations, and external stakeholders, supporting AF participation in IAMD meetings, exercises, and wargames.

Additionally, the analyst will help track and manage IAMD staff packages, ensuring AF/A10 inputs are timely, consistent, and well supported.

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations research, international security, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in IAMD, missile defense, air defense, or related operational/analytic work in a headquarters, MAJCOM, or joint environment
• Strong analytic and writing skills, with experience producing decision‑support products on complex technical or operational topics
• Active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to maintain it throughout employment

Desired

• Experience supporting or analyzing IAMD, defensive counter‑air, or counter‑UAS missions
• Familiarity with PPBE and requirements processes as they apply to IAMD capabilities

Scheduled Weekly Hours

40hrs

Basic Compensation

$185,000 -$195,000

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
