Job summary

Coderio, a remote-first software partner, seeks an experienced IAM Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise identity solutions that connect passwordless authentication to customers' systems.

You will translate security requirements into practical architectures, guide technical evaluations, run POCs, and work with sales, product, engineering, and customer success teams to shape reusable patterns.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IAM, identity security, or enterprise infra.
• Strong SSO, MFA, federation, and passwordless experience.
• Hands-on with SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SCIM, AD, LDAP.
• Experience with major IdPs (Azure AD, Okta, Ping).
• Fluent English for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops to understand identity architecture, access policies, application dependencies, and deployment constraints.
• Design solutions for SSO, MFA, passwordless access, and identity lifecycle integration across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Architect integrations with IdPs, directories, enterprise applications, endpoint management, HR systems, and PACS.
• Produce architecture diagrams, authentication flows, integration specs, security considerations, and implementation plans.
• Lead POCs and pilots; define acceptance criteria, validate integrations, and guide phased rollouts and handovers.
• Apply least privilege and Zero Trust principles to identity assurance and provisioning.
• Troubleshoot federation, token, certificate, directory sync, and access-policy issues.
• Partner with sales, product, engineering, and customer success on evaluations and reusable patterns.

In this role, you'll lead the design and delivery of enterprise identity solutions that connect modern passwordless authentication platforms with customers' identity, endpoint, and workforce systems. You will translate security requirements and frontline workflows into practical architectures, guide technical evaluations, and serve as a trusted technical partner to enterprise customers.

What to Expect in This Role (Responsibilities)

• Lead discovery workshops to understand identity architecture, access policies, application dependencies, and deployment constraints.
• Design solutions for single sign-on (SSO), multifactor authentication (MFA), passwordless access, and identity lifecycle integration across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Architect integrations with identity providers (IdPs), directories, enterprise applications, endpoint management, HR systems, and physical access systems.
• Produce architecture diagrams, authentication flows, integration specifications, security considerations, and implementation plans with clear trade-offs.
• Lead proofs of concept (POCs) and pilots; define acceptance criteria, validate integrations, and guide phased rollouts and operational handovers.
• Apply least privilege and Zero Trust principles to identity assurance, provisioning, session controls, and account recovery.
• Troubleshoot federation, token, certificate, directory synchronization, and access-policy issues with customer IT and security teams.
• Partner with sales, product, engineering, and customer success teams on technical evaluations and reusable solution patterns.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience in IAM, identity security, or enterprise infrastructure, including 3+ years designing and delivering IAM solutions.
• Strong practical knowledge of SSO, MFA, federation, passwordless authentication, identity lifecycle management, and RBAC.
• Hands-on integration and troubleshooting experience with SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SCIM, Active Directory, and LDAP.
• Deep implementation experience with at least one major identity platform, such as Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Okta, or Ping Identity.
• Experience designing cloud and hybrid identity architectures, conditional access policies, directory synchronization, and user provisioning.
• Ability to diagnose authentication flows using logs, HTTP traces, token inspection, certificates, and API tools, with scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or similar.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) for daily remote collaboration and customer-facing technical discussions.

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with FIDO2/WebAuthn, phishing-resistant authentication, Windows sign-in, shared endpoints, or kiosk environments.
• Experience with integrations for HR information systems (HRIS), physical access control systems (PACS), endpoint management, or identity governance platforms (IGA).
• Proven experience delivering identity solutions in manufacturing, healthcare, retail, or frontline workforce environments.
• Relevant industry certifications, such as Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator, Okta certifications, CISSP, or CCSP.
