About The Team And The Role
TCGplayer connects hobbyists and hobby businesses to communities. Our Risk Intelligence / Identity and Access Management team is responsible for building and maintaining critical systems that safeguard our company’s hobbyists, sellers, operations, and data. This team’s charter is to protect access to the company’s systems and ensure our internal and external users have secure and seamless access to the services needed.
As the Software Engineering Manager for the Risk Intelligence / Identity and Access Management team, you will lead a team of engineers that focus on designing and delivering resilient, high-performance services and tools that protect the company’s applications and data. You will be responsible for driving the vision, guiding technical roadmaps, managing engineering workflows, and collaborating closely with product management, security, and IT teams to deliver scalable software solutions that support the company’s strategic objectives in risk intelligence, identity, and access management.
What You Will Accomplish
- Lead TCGplayer through a major phase of growth as we expand internationally and delight across the globe
- Provide leadership and management to software engineers to create scalable risk and access management solutions for the TCGplayer platform
- Assist in the development of technical strategies and business decisions by providing insights from risk intelligence, identity, and access management perspectives
- Partner with Product Management, Security, Compliance, and other stakeholders to define the vision, strategy and requirements for risk and IAM solutions
- Coordinate with fellow Engineering Managers and Project Managers to manage inter-team dependencies and ensure the on-time delivery of software
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, growth, and collaboration, supporting team members in professional development and innovation
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) in computer science, information technology or a related field with 8 or more years of software development experience on large-scale, high-volume, technical systems
- 3 or more years of experience in a people management role with Software Engineering
- Hands on experience working with Keycloak and PingID
- Proven success designing, building, and maintaining large-scale identity and access management (IAM) systems
- Experience with risk intelligence, identity and access management, and cybersecurity
- Proven success providing project management artifacts in an agile environment
$132,000 - $222,100
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
