Job summary

Premier America Credit Union is seeking an IAM Information Security Engineer to design and maintain security controls across on-premises, cloud, and identity platforms. The role focuses on preventive, detective, and responsive controls, with emphasis on audit readiness and regulatory compliance.

The engineer will implement an enterprise IAM framework, govern access for employees and contractors, and collaborate with IT, Infrastructure, and Security teams to embed security into daily operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in information security engineering, infrastructure security, or related roles with experience in developing and implementing access management frameworks.
• Must have experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Agile, DevSecOps and ITIL practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Certification required in one or more: ISC2 Cybersecurity (CC), CISM, GIAC or Security+.
• Knowledge of identity lifecycle and governance processes. Understanding of financial services tech like Jack Henry.
• Experience with cloud security (Azure & AWS) and security certifications.
• Experience supporting security tooling such as SIEM, PAM, vulnerability scanners, and EDR platforms.

Responsibilities

• Security Engineering & Operations: Design, implement, and maintain security controls across network, endpoint, server, cloud, and identity platforms.
• Configure, tune, and support security tools (EDR/XDR, firewalls, IAM, MFA, privileged access controls).
• Monitor security alerts, investigate incidents, and support containment and remediation.
• Vulnerability & Threat Management: Prioritize remediation based on risk, track progress, and validate actions.
• Incident Response & Resilience: Participate in incident response activities and contribute to risk assessments.
• Review system designs for security risks and control gaps.
• Develop and implement IAM framework with regulatory alignment.
• Support compliance findings related to identity and access management.
