Job summary

Menzies Aviation is seeking a maintenance technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain pumps, valves, vessels, hydrant pits, gauges, switches, motors, lights, heaters, meters, hoses, and related components. You will diagnose problems, follow safety policies, and maintain records for site operations.

The role requires reading and interpreting manuals, operating in varied weather, and flexibility for overtime. A high school diploma or GED is required with prior maintenance experience preferred.

Role Purpose

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain related components such as pumps, valves, vessels, hydrant pits, gauges, switches, motors, lights, heaters, meters, hoses, etc.

What you will be doing

  • Diagnose problems using test equipment, statistics, equipment history, manufacturer specs, industry related standards and blueprints.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain related components such as pumps, valves, vessels, hydrant pits, gauges, switches, motors, lights, heaters, meters, hoses, etc.
  • Follow company and departmental safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain records relating to maintenance.
  • Support Gauger position as necessary.
  • Comply with the station’s attendance policy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment tests, including a drug test.
  • Capable of safelylifting upto 70 lbs. continuously.
  • Must be able to proficiently speak, read, and write in English proficiently.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Must have a current driver’s license with no violations over the past 5 years.
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required Airports and Custom badges/seals.
  • Must be able to meet and maintain the security level required for this position.
  • Work is done primarily outdoors. Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions, work is primarily outdoors.
