Viasat is seeking an Information Assurance (IA) Systems Security Engineer to join a small, fast-paced team supporting U.S. Government High Assurance programs.

You will contribute to security design and certification, and develop documentation per DoD standards. You will work with Agile teams to derive requirements, own system design activities for next generation network encryption devices, and collaborate with geographically dispersed teams to deliver secure products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of communication systems design experience.
• Strong understanding of system engineering processes from requirements to test.
• Ability to document and report on technical solutions.

Responsabilités

• Derive, develop and document system, software and hardware requirements from customer specifications.
• Own system requirements and system design activities for next generation network encryption devices.
• Prepare system level material and present at internal and customer reviews.
• Work with Agile scrum teams to identify, develop and prioritize features.
• Collaborate with large geographically diverse multi-disciplinary teams.
• Generate and collaborate on required design documents and verification protocols.
• Support qualification of new designs by reviewing system test activities.
