Job summary

Vets Hired is seeking an Integration and Test Team Lead to guide testing for missile warning and tracking systems, ensuring readiness for deployment and operation.

You will lead the I&T team, design and execute manual and automated tests, develop verification plans, and coordinate with agile software groups and government stakeholders.

Active DoD Secret clearance is required; 2–4 years leading I&T teams, plus experience with DoD space systems, MBSE, Jira, Confluence, and DevOps tools.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• 2–4 years of experience leading Integration & Test teams.
• Experience with software testing, system verification, and defect analysis.
• Experience developing test processes, test cases, test procedures, and reports.
• Familiarity with satellite ground systems or OPIR mission environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Experience supporting multiple test events and demonstrations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum, DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, Docker, automated testing, MBSE, Jira, and Confluence is preferred.
• Experience with DoD space systems integration and automated API/UI testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Integration and Test (I&T) team and coordinate with customers and stakeholders.
• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated software and system-level tests.
• Develop and maintain Integration and Test plans, procedures, reports, and verification documentation.
• Determine verification approaches for system requirements and identify software/system defects.
• Conduct formal system testing and validation with government stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Agile Scrum teams to support software development and system integration.
• Build, configure, troubleshoot, and validate system functionality.
• Generate and maintain system documentation, configuration baselines, rack diagrams, and test records.
• Support system reviews, readiness assessments, and verification activities.
• Contribute to risk management, verification matrices, and customer test reports.
• Train personnel and support operational readiness activities.
